Yann Karamoh has been critical of the usage of VAR in Ligue 1 after his Bordeaux saw two goals chopped off during their 0-0 draw against Dijon at the weekend.

“It is really frustrating, you celebrate and then when you regroup and you are told you are to wait because there a VAR check,” he said in an interview with Canal Plus.

“The referees have to decide right away. You can not be waiting 10 minutes before deciding whether or not to assign a goal. It is something that is unnerving for the two teams involved and all those in attendance.”

Karamoh joined Inter in the summer of 2017 from Caen and while he saw some use during his debut campaign, Inter’s summer signings on the wings meant that his playing time would have been very low this season which lead to his loan move this season. The Frenchman has made 11 appearances for Les Girondins since joining scoring twice and tallying one assist in the process.
