Wanda Icardi: “I’m Happy For Inter, I Hope To See Mauro & Lautaro Play Together”

Wanda Icardi, the wife and agent of Inter captain Mauro Icardi, has shared her delight with the current situation Inter find themselves in and firstly discussed their situation in the Champions League.

“I am confident that Inter can make it in to the next round. Inter is my team and I care about everything about t: them. It is a dream to be playing in the Champions League. No one expected Inter do be doing as well and in the group that they are in it is not easy at all. This already makes me happy,” said in an interview with FCInter1908.it.

She then spoke on her desire to remain in Milan for a long time.

“Will Milan by my home for a long time? Let’s hope so. Milan will always remain in our hearts, three of our children were born here, here we have many friends who are part of my family.”

Wanda then went on to discuss the Serie A title raise and praise Inter manager Luciano Spalletti.

I think Juventus are in a league of their own but I want the best for Inter and it’s going so well. Spalletti is making the right choices. The turnover and just everything he does is going very well and I am happy for Inter and everyone involved, they deserve it.”

She concluded the interview by speaking on the potential partnership between her husband and Lautaro Martinez.

“I hope they can do it. They are friends outside of football. There was some controversy about whether Lautaro would have been a problem for Mauro and it was said that he would go away on loan, but from the first day Mauro spoke with him, helped him find a home and just generally helped him as he did with everyone else.

“In the case of Lautaro there was talk of risks for him but Mauro was very calm with him, he considers him a brother, because he is younger. He arrived here alone and it is not easy to do so in Milan, especially when you do not speak the language. Lautaro told us that it would not have been so easy without Mauro and without me. For that I hope to see them play together: they are both good players. I think they are two different kind of players and can play together.”
