Inter vice President Javier Zanetti stopped by Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia seconds before kick off between the Nerazzurri and Tottenham in the penultimate group stage match of the Champions League at Wembley.

The former Nerazzurri captain stated that: “I have played here both with Inter and the Argentinian national team, we hope to be able to watch a great match. I was a bit surprised by Pochettino’s choices in the players he has chosen to start with but I know hi, and the players he has chosen will make life difficult for us.”

“Tonight is a test for us to continue our growth. The players and the coach have prepared the match well, being very ware of the force of the opponent. They will start the match strongly but they will concede spaces and so we have to be intelligent” Zanetti continued.

In conclusion Zanetti was asked about the imminent arrival of Beppe Marotta to which he replied: “We are talking about a director with great experience and competence who will integrate himself into a group that is doing a great job. We are aware that in order to compete with the big teams in Europe something is missing, but we are on the right track and Marotta will give us a hand.”
