Alessandro Altobelli has looked ahead to Inter’s final Champions League group stage game against PSV Eindhoven, a game that has become a lot more important after Inter’s loss last night.

“PSV will not anything to Inter so Inter must prepare for the game as if it is the Champions League final. The players know that they absolutely have to win the game,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

“Inter must believe more in themselves as they have strong players in all roles. They have to think that they can win games anytime and against anyone. Italian teams in general limit themselves with the mentality of damage limitation when playing abroad.”

Altobelli then spoke on Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

“He is a good player and yesterday I would have let him on the pitch as he could have won the game for Inter but also because in the final minutes Icardi was struggling. Lautaro can only play in place of Icardi and will never play in Icardi’s place. He is a backup and he can not be a starter.”

He concluded by speaking on Radja Nainggolan.

“He is a great player. He has a lot of grit and desire. A player like him can make the difference for Inter, but he must physically be in the right place to do so.”
