Borja Valero was Inter’s star performer in last night’s 1-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League in the eyes of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The veteran Spanish midfielder replaced Radja Nainggolan before half-time with the Belgian seriously under-performing – due to still being bothered by the ankle injury sustained against Milan back in October – and earned himself a respectable 7 rating for his performance at Wembley.

Centre back pairing Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar both received 6.5 ratings for their performances while Samir Handanovic, Marcelo Brozovic and Matteo Politano are all tied for third best performance with a 6 rating.

Full back’s Danilo D’Ambrosio and Kwadwo Asamoah were both handed 5.5 ratings from the Milan based newspaper but were spared the blushes of having the worst rating. The aforementioned Nainggolan, captain Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino all had the worst performances as they received half marks with a 5/10 rating.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti was meanwhile awarded a 5.5 rating.
