Amid continued rumoured transfer market interest, Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno has reaffirmed his commitment to the Sardinian club.

“I am very happy here. Dreams are beautiful but they do not make much sense if they are accompanied by something concrete,” he stressed in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

Among the allegedly interested clubs are Fiorentina and the Italian international then spoke on this.

“Fiorentina? Who knows, it is the team of the city I am from. I followed them as a child, in the Curva Fiesole. My family and friends are all Viola fans but I want to repeat that at Cagliari I have found everything I was looking for.”

Cragno then proceeded to speak on his goalkeeping idols.

The greatest is Buffon, my idol since childhood. I’m not even remotely comparing myself to him, because the distance is astronomical. What I admire about him is his essence, I like substance more than form. I also like Oblak and De Gea abroad, and Szczesny and Perin in Italy.”
