Former Inter and Roma player Francesco Moriero has shared his thoughts ahead of this weekend’s clash between two of his former employers at the Stadio Olimpico.

“Inter are favoured to Roma as Roma has many injuries, but it will be a difficult match nevertheless. Inter has grown a lot and has made an important path in the Champions League for themselves in a very difficult group,” he said in an interview with broadcaster RMC Sport.

Moriero then spoke on Inter manager Luciano Spalletti’s decision to field an under the weather Radja Nainggolan last night.

“I like Nainggolan. If I had someone like him available, I would always play him, even if he had only one leg. It is easy in hindsight to criticise something. Spalletti has decided to risk Nainggolan and it is right to take the criticism when it does not go as planned.”

He concluded with a quick comment on the Serie A title race.

“It is not yet up to Juventus, who are in a league of their own.”
