Inter are interested in signing Pescara starlet Edgar Elizalde according to a report from transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Nerazzurri are however not alone in courting the Uruguayan defender with arch-rivals Juventus also understood to be interested in signing him.

The interest of both clubs has been verified by Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani in an interview with CalcioMercato.com.

“We have spoken with Juventus but we are also talking to the Nerazzurri club. Inter asked us and they also talked to his agents. In terms of relations with us, they are in first place but we want to do everything in a way that does not hurt anyone.

“Both teams would prefer to have him already in January, Juventus have the under-23 team, Inter are involved in the UEFA Youth League. We will see what happens and we are ready to talk about it.”

The 18-year-old can play in any position across the back-line and has made two appearances this season.
