Inter’s hunt to find the next young talent has led to them exploring the South American market according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Dario Baccin, the right hand man of Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is currently in Porto Alegre, Brazil to take in a youth tournament with a view to scouting the players involved and bringing some of them to Italy.

Due to the non-EU quota rules in Serie A Inter could look to work in connection with one of their fellow Italian clubs in order to sign players. Inter will avoid this problem if the youngsters have dual nationality and are in possession of a European passport.

Inter have a long history of signing young players from South American leagues with current club president Javier Zanetti among them. Another notable youth signing from South American competitions is that of Philippe Coutinho, who is now starring for Barcelona.
