In order not to make a total loss on the deal, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio will have to sell Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa for at least €20 million, if Inter intend to move the Brazilian striker on in the January transfer window according to a report from Tuttosport.
Currently, Gabigol’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is trying to find a suitor for him in the English Premier League where the player can go only by being sold through an outright deal. Everton, West Ham and Crystal Palace have all been linked in recent weeks. Inter could, if no outright bids come for him, be satisfied with allowing him to leave the club on loan with the loaning club having an option to turn the move permanent.
The 22-year-old forward joined Inter for €30 million back in 2016 but has been unable to assert himself in the team. He has spent the past year on loan with Santos in his native Brazil, where he was recently crowned top scorer in the league.
