Inter have initiated contacts with Fiorentina over a transfer for full back Cristiano Biraghi according to a report from Rome based news outlet Corriere dello Sport.

Fiorentina signed Biraghi for a mere €5 million in the summer of 2017 and it is now understood that he would not be allowed to leave the Stadio Artemio Franchi for anything less than a sum of €18-20 million.

Biraghi is an Inter academy graduate and it is clear to see that Inter have their regrets about moving him on to Pescara in the 2016 summer transfer window, even though the decision was brought on by Inter’s need to reach financial fair play requirements.

The 26-year-old defender, who is a recent Italian national team debutant, has made a total of 14 appearances for the Florence club across all competitions this season. In that time he has scored one goal, tallied two assists and helped the team achieve three clean sheets.
