Former Inter owner and president Ernesto Pellegrini has spoken on Friday night’s Derby D’Italia between Juventus and Inter.
“Juventus versus Inter is always a match that is full of charm. The Bianconeri appear to be unstoppable, but there is still hope for the Nerazzurri. If Juventus are to win, the scudetto would be won. However, if Inter are to win the three points then everything could be reopened even if there would still be a big difference between the teams,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.
Pellegrini, who served as owner and president of the Nerazzurri for 11 years between 1984 and 1995, then spoke on the club’s current owners, the Suning Group.
“Suning is doing well and you need to have confidence in their work.”
He concluded the interview with a short comment on Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta’s imminent appointment at the club.
“The arrival of Marotta will bring benefits to Inter.”
