Journalist Mario Sconcerti believes that Inter are now capable of winning any game now that they have stopped being so reliant on Mauro Icardi to provide the goals.

“Inter now has many players capable of scoring, so they can win any game, even those in which they play badly. In previous years when Icardi stopped, Inter stopped,” he wrote in a column for newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Sconcerti then looked at Nerazzurri manager Luciano Spalletti.

“To get closer to Juventus, Inter must find a definitive leap in quality. At the current time Luciano Spalletti’s difference with the results to Max Allegri is the clearest in the overall comparison of the teams. Spalletti is a great coach, very realistic, clever, practical, but he has won practically nothing. He has trained great teams and his difference is felt in the air but he does not have the same weight as someone like Allegri and Antonio Conte.”
