Steven Zhang’s intentions for Inter are clear according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“He wants to bring Inter to the top of the world, a goal declared on the day of his inauguration, by playing steadily in the Champions League, to increase revenues by reaching €400 million, to manage the stadium, aim on young people and give the club a top technical structure.

“The arrival of Beppe Marotta and the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Milan for a cohabitation stadium (in all probability San Siro) are the first tangible steps of the new Chinese presidency. The rest is constantly moving. To allow Zhang junior to act in complete autonomy, the Nerazzurri board gave the almost 27-year-old president full powers.”

Zhang, who is the son of Suning owner Jindong Zhang, is the youngest president in club history and was inaugurated at the end of October during the annual Inter shareholders meeting.
