Former Inter defender Francesco Colonnese has spoken on Inter’s start to the season and the fact they find themselves some 14 points of pace setters Juventus even before the half way point of the season.
“Certainly the league is not going as it should have. Inter was convinced that they were a little closer to Juventus than they are,” he said on Radio 24 broadcast Tutto Convocati.
“The situation is not tragic though. Inter are a bit behind in the league because at the beginning of the season they lost some heavy points.”
He then returned to speak about tomorrow night’s final Champions League group stage match with PSV Eindhoven.
“The season depends a lot on Tuesday evening and it is only right that Inter will get pass the group stage because they deserve it.”
Colonnese spent three years on Inter’s books between 1997 and 2000 and made over half a century of appearances.
