Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has assured that he and his Blaugrana teammates will not be taking their foot off the gas for tomorrow’s Champions League match against Tottenham Hotspur despite already qualifying for the knockout rounds.

“Of course we will play to win, like we always do. Our history shows this, plus we do not want to interrupt our good run of results. In particular, we want to win and keep another clean sheet. As for Inter and Tottenham, I hope the best team qualify. Of course, we will play our game trying to win it,” he stressed in an interview with Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The Spanish centre back’s comments will come as a relief to Inter who are reliant on Barcelona stopping the English Premier League side from succeeding in order to qualify at their expense but that of course depends on if Inter can get the better of PSV Eindhoven.
