Tomorrow night Mauro Icardi will in all likelihood make his 200th appearance in an Inter shirt as the Nerazzurri play PSV Eindhoven in the final group stage game of the Champions League.

Icardi will no doubt be out to score yet another goal but above everything else, the most important thing is that Inter qualify for the knockout rounds, something that will only be achieved with a favour from Barcelona, who must stop Tottenham from winning.

Having scored in the first meeting with PSV Eindhoven, he already knows what it takes to puncture the Dutch giants’ defence. Firing Inter in to the round of 16 will surely re-convince fans, some of whom have been left disappointed by his decision to go out partying the day after the loss to Juventus and attend the Copa Libertadores final.

In his 199 appearances to date, since his 2013 arrival from Sampdoria, Icardi has scored 118 goals across all competitions, an average of 0.59 goals per game.
