Inter captain Mauro Icardi will be taking the club upon his shoulders in tomorrow night’s crucial final Champions League group stage game against PSV Eindhoven.

The striker’s contribution will be decisive in whether Inter make the knockout stages or not so long as Barcelona help Inter out by stopping Tottenham Hotspur, Tuttosport believe.

The 25-year-old has scored three goals in the Champions League this season, his debut campaign in the competition, all of which have led to Inter picking up points, three points against both Tottenham Hotspur and PSV in the first meetings and a point against Barcelona in the second meeting.

One thing Inter must look to improve upon should they get through is the range of goalscorers. While there have been a multitude of scorers in league play, none of Ivan Perisic, Keita Balde, Matteo Politano, Antonio Candreva, Lautaro Martinez, Marcelo Brozovic and Borja Valero have managed to find the back of the net in the Champions League.
