Mauro Icardi gave his thoughts and feelings on Inter’s elimination from the Champions League following the 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven in which he scored Inter’s goal and gave Inter some hope late on that they may just qualify. That hope would be destroyed minutes from the end though as Tottenham Hotspur equalised against Barcelona.
“There is certainly anger. We had to win the match. We had to go forward but we did not manage to score, we deserved to go through because we showed we could play with everyone, it is a real shame,” he said in an interview with broadcaster Sky Sport.
