The morning after his sides disappointing draw with PSV, and subsequent elimination from the Champions League, Inter’s goalkeeper Samir Handanovic spoke with Sky Sport.

The former Udinese stopper began by stating that: “We did not get much sleep last night, but today is a new day and we must move on. This weekend we have a new game against Udinese on Saturday and winning is always the best medicine.”

The Slovenian went on to discuss his sides participation in the Europa League – a competition many fans have viewed as a burden.

“Certainly we can admit that one of our goals for the season has now vanished as all of the players wanted to progress to the last sixteen of the Champions League, but there is nothing to cry about. Instead, we can look at the Europa League as an opportunity rather than a loss. There are a number of great teams in that competition who believe they can win it, we must have the same mentality.”
