“The noise of the enemy” is one of the Mourinho  soundbites that has remained the longest in the hearts of the Nerazzurri faithful. Something Luciano Spalletti recounted a little over a year ago, at the end of November, at a time when he was top of the league and still unbeaten.

In his first interview after the elimination from the Champions League, he does not say this explicitly, but the concept is the same: “The locker room is closed and compact, against everyone else.” Against those, according to the tactician, who want to “demolish” the work done over the past year and a half and against those who analyse the matches in a certain way because they are fans of other teams.

Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport tries to read between the lines of the press conference on the eve of Inter-Udinese reporting that: “Spalletti speaks calmly, even more than on other occasions: in the late and cold afternoon of Appiano he tries to keep the same tone, apparently conciliatory, even when he has to give a few hits, in defence of the team, but also of his work.”

Spalletti pays no attention to the criticism and even refuses the more or less virtual, pats on the shoulders and the supporting statements including that of Beppe Marotta which arrived on Thursday in his first day as an Interista.
