Wagner Ribeiro, the agent of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, is currently in Milan to hold preliminary talks with Inter over his client’s future with the club according to a report from Tuttosport.
The 22-year-old striker’s Inter future is currently up in the air although the report suggests that his most likely destination is that of Flamengo.
Gabigol, who joined Inter in 2016, has spent the past calendar year on loan with Santos and has made the most of the spell as he earned the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A top goalscorer award with 18 league goals.
He has a contract with the Nerazzurri until the end of the 2020/21 season but the wealth of interest in his services from around the globe would suggest that he is highly unlikely to see that out. Flamengo are just one of a host of Brazilian clubs courting him while there is alleged Premier League and Turkish Super Lig interest also.
