Gazzetta dello Sport believe that Luciano Spalletti could be preparing a system change that would allow for Lautaro Martinez to play more regularly.

The Milan based newspaper point out that Luciano Spalletti experimented with a 3-4-2-1 formation with the Argentine striker partnering Radja Nainggolan in behind club captain Mauro Icardi at the end of Inter’s 1-0 win over Udinese on Saturday.

The system change saw Kwadwo Asamoah play as the third central defender with Sime Vrsaljko and Ivan Perisic occupying the wing back roles.

Lautaro received praise from Spalletti post-match for the impact he made and he could be set to become an extra attacking weapon for Inter rather than a player who plays a bit part role off of the substitutes bench.

The 21-year-old joined Inter in the summer from Racing Club and has made 12 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has scored two goals and tallied one assist.
