Interviewed by RMC Sport, former Juventus sporting director Alessio Secco commented on Manchester United’s sacking of José Mourinho, not excluding a possible return of the Portuguese to Inter.
“It was a troubled year for Manchester United, it’s a very bad situation and it’s those bad seasons that end up worse, despite everyone’s professionalism, football is also made of these things. I would not rule out Mourinho’s return to Inter, There’s a connection between Mourinho and Inter which includes the emotions and feelings that go around the Nerazzurri world. It’s a special relationship. I would suggest that Zinedine Zidane will become the next manager at Manchester United.”
Mourinho was sacked as manager of Manchester United after two and a half years in charge, curiously it is almost three years to the day since he was fired by Chelsea. Rumours of Mourinho’s return to Inter where he won the unprecedented Treble are continuing to appear.
