Speaking to Sky Sports, Roma legend and current club executive Francesco Totti discussed the current state of the team following their narrow 3-2 victory over Genoa at the Stadio Olimpico.

“This was a difficult match. It is normal that many of the players were nervous, and perhaps a bit afraid to play. There was lots of pressure on the field with little space to move. This is just one result, achieved with anger and determination. We managed to collect three more points, however, and that makes this a happy evening. For sure, we did not perform as well as we did against Inter, but then it is the result that matters.”

The Giallorossi’s victory leaves them in seventh place on 24 points, two points out of the Champions League qualification zone (although Milan have a game in hand). It has been a difficult period for Eusebio Di Francesco, and there is no end in sight as his side must now travel to Turin to meet Juventus this weekend.
