Inter chief executive Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio have identified Inter’s need for a technically sound midfielder as well as a physically imposing one and Toni Kroos and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are both potential ideas according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.
Kroos represents a perfect mix of the player that Marotta and Ausilio wish to bring in to the team. He is an experienced player with lots of history for winning big trophies at many clubs. Technically good as well as physically and has leader-like qualities about him too. Buying him for his release clause of around €300 million just is not an option for Inter but the Rome based newspaper speculate there could be a lot of change at Los Blancos in the summer which could result in Kroos becoming available at a cheaper price.
Milinkovic-Savic may not have won as much as Kroos but he is more physically imposing. The Serbian was valued at €150 million by Lazio’s president but due to performances this season Lotito will be unable to command as much for him.
