First talks between Flamengo and Inter over a transfer involving Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa did not get well according to a report from Brazilian newspaper GloboEsporte.

Flamengo were told by Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio that the price they were wanting to get for the 22-year-old was a price that was not obtainable by Brazilian clubs.

Despite being told this, the Mengao management are willing to make a €25 million bid for the striker but that will in all likelihood be unsuccessful. However, the report goes on to state that they could get a possible reduction if they are to insert young starlet Lincoln in to the deal on top of cash.

Moreover, the Brazilian giants are understood to be ready to appoint someone to work specifically on the deal that, as a last resort, could even be a loan move, especially if Inter fail to find a suitor for him in Europe.
