Obinna: “Today Will Be Tough For Inter. Mourinho Was The Best, Spalletti Is Excellent”

What kind of game can we expect between Chievo and Inter this evening? Ex-Inter and ex-Chievo player Victor Obinna has the answers in today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It will be tough for Inter,” he said.

“Chievo are doing well and are having a good stint at the moment. I hope that Inter will win though – it only took a year wearing that jersey to turn me into a lifelong fan.”

A year that won you the Scudetto under the supervision of a certain José Mourinho.

“Mou is the best, he is the best coach I have ever had. He makes you feel important even if you do not play.

“It would be a dream to see him coaching Inter again, destroying the dominance of Juventus.

“I owe him everything: he wanted to keep me and made me make my debut in a big game against Roma.”

And coaching that Roma side was a certain Luciano Spalletti…

“An excellent coach. In January 2009 he wanted to sign me, but I preferred to stay with Inter.”

One of your braces ruined the farewell game of Javier Zanetti, which was also the last game in an Inter jersey for Esteban Cambiasso and Diego Milito.

“What a game! I am sorry to have ruined the party for a legend such as Zanetti. I also got to Piero Ausilio (laughing).”

What do you mean?

“At the end of the game he gave me a hug and said: “Victor you scored in the wrong goal, why do you have to score twice against us?”

“Piero is a great professional that has built a great Inter. Juventus are too strong but Inter can finish second and win the Europa League.”

Meanwhile, Inter has captain Mauro Icardi.

“He is the best centre-forward in Europe and Inter have to pamper him keep him happy, because he makes the difference.

“He has to be considered untouchable and make as much money as the best players.”
