Inter boss Luciano Spalletti is understandably appreciative of Keita Balde’s recent improvement on the pitch that was further evidenced as the winger scored the all important goal that secured Inter a vital three points away from home against Empoli yesterday in the eyes of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Aside from the goal, Spalletti was also happy with the Senegalese’s effort just before being substituted. Having got the better of Empoli’s Acquah, he got a shot off and could have doubled Inter’s lead but Empoli goalkeeper Provedel was equal to it.
With his goal yesterday against Empoli, Keita Balde now has four goals this campaign, all of which have arrived in his last six appearance.
