Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio will devote a lot of time during the January transfer window in to finding a new home for Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Tuttosport.

Flamengo are one of the most interested clubs in the 22-year-old striker but paying the €20 million Inter want for the Brazilian is difficult for them despite being one of the most financially strong clubs in Brazil. The Rubro-Negro, as per the report, could request Gabigol on loan and pay his salary in full – something Santos did not do – and also give Inter an option – or at least first refusal – on Lincoln, in order to get a deal done.

Gabigol’s agent Kia Joorabchian is meanwhile trying to find a suitor for him in the Premier League. West Ham, who have had plenty previous dealings with Joorabchian, are one of the most feasible options.
