European football’s governing body UEFA have named their Serie A team of the season so far that includes Inter duo Marcelo Brozovic and Mauro Icardi.

“Brozovic is at home in the role of regista. The Croatian is an irreplaceable piece in the tactical chessboard of Luciano Spalletti. Able to dictate the tempo of play and recover possession he above all has an enviable passing ability that allows Inter to attack better.”

UEFA then had the following to say on Icardi’s season so far.

“The Nerazzurri captain, the symbol of Luciano Spalletti’s Inter, continues to confirm himself as ruthless and relentless in front of goal with nine goals scored in 16 games played in the first half of the season. He is a generous striker, who also sacrifices himself for the team.”
