Inter Will Take Up Purchase Options On Politano, Vrsaljko & Keita Balde

Between now and the summer Inter have two very tough tasks on their hands with regards to raising funds for the settlement agreement and keeping the current crop of players together according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter must raise €40 million in capital gains by June 30 in order to respect the settlement agreement that they will in fact free themselves from if they meet the requirements. Exiting the settlement agreement would massively increase Inter’s ability to manoeuvre on the market so it is essential that they do this.

Keeping the current players around though, particularly those on loan with redemption options, is a heavy ask. Inter in all likelihood will redeem Matteo Politano, Sime Vrsaljko and Keita Balde and will need €71.5 million to do this.

Moreover, if Inter are wanting to activate buy back clauses for players, they will need even more money. For example if they want to bring Jens Odgaard back from Sassuolo they’ll need to cough up €10 million and if they want to bring back Andrei Radu from Genoa it’ll cost them €12 million.

If Inter don’t activate the buyback clauses this summer, both Odgaard and Radu will cost even more the following summer. Odgaard’s buyback clause will increase to €15 million and Radu’s to €16 million.
