Marco Correia de Oliveira, one of the intermediaries in the Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to Benfica deal, has spoken on the Inter striker’s current situation amid continued interest from Brazilian giants Flamengo.

“Flamengo is very interested in the player. The Rubro-Negro are a financially strong side, much more so than Santos and all the other teams in Brazil. For this reason they would not have any problems in paying almost the entire salary of the player,” he told FCInterNews.it.

“The Nerazzurri are however demanding more than €20 million for a permanent sale and this is why negotiations are not so easy.”

He concluded the interview by revealing how the difficulties in negotiations between the clubs could be overcome.

“Inter would like Lincoln included as a trading chip in the deal or at least get a first refusal on him. With his inclusion, Inter would lower their demands to allow Gabigol to leave the club.”
