Genoa goalkeeper Andrei Radu has reflected on what has been an ‘extraordinary’ year for him which has seen him make his Serie A debut.

“It was an extraordinary year for me. Six months ago  I would have never expected to be where I am now. I am very proud of this,” the 21-year-old shot stopper told Telekom Sport, a news outlet from his native homeland of Romania.

Radu was then asked about if he is hopeful of Inter using their buy-back option on him.

“At this moment I want to think only about the holidays, then we will see what happens: I hope that they will wait for me,” he continued.

He concluded the interview by speaking on his transfer value.

“My €7 million evaluation is a source of pride for me. I did not expect to be at this level but this gives me more motivation to do even better.
