In an interview with Italian Tutto Mercato Web, former Genoa player Claudio Onofri spoke about the young defender at Genoa, Cristian Romero.
The player has according to reports gotten Inter and Juventus ready to battle over on the transfer market: “I state that I hope he can stay at Genoa for 10 years because we are talking about a player who really has a great potential.”
“He is destined to reach very high levels, he was born in 1998 and it is clear that he must still improve. For example, he must improve his decision making: he is a player who with his stronger leg goes to press high and can sometimes commit fouls, but if he were to leave Genoa one day, he’s a fan of Chelsea, just to give an example.”
“In terms of prospective clubs and his career, if he maintains the same characteristics then he is one day destined for a club like Juventus or Inter” Onofri concluded.
