Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia reports that Inter will probably not be too active during the winter transfer window. Instead, Marotta and his team will be working more towards the summer market.

The former Juventus director has already began making phone calls and doing his necessary assessments for the following transfer window. Inter and Marotta’s targets are the younger players that they have been following for quite some time, specifically Sandro Tonali, the 18 year old midfielder currently at Brescia, Lincoln, the 18 year old forward at Brazilian club Flamengo, and finally Nicolo Barella, the 21 year old Cagliari midfielder whose dream has been to play for Inter since he was a child.

The plan is not to make any immediate moves for these players over this current transfer window. Instead, Marotta and Inter will be planning for the summer transfer market. Inter seems to be taking an approach towards younger transfer targets to plan for the future rather for the present with these moves in mind.
