Fabio Capello has urged Inter and Napoli not to give up on the Scudetto this season as he believes there is still long enough for them to catch Juventus.

Max Allegri’s side sit nine points clear of the Partenopei as Italy pauses for its annual winter break, with Inter a further five points back, having won 17 of their 19 league games so far this season.

However former Bianconeri boss Capello doesn’t think the title race is over just yet.

“I don’t agree with those who say the title race is already over,” Capello told Il Messaggero.

“Look at the amount of points still up for grabs. Those who are pursuing Juventus cannot give up yet, it’s worth having a go for Napoli and the others.

“The fans are used to Juventus winning because they’ve been dominating the league for seven years, but they’re still passionate.

“In Milan that passion has even grown in recent years.”
