Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport insist that Inter’s Brazilian international central defender Joao Miranda is tempted to join AS Roma.

According to the report Monchi has been in contact with the player’s agent, who renewed his contract with Inter last summer and which now expires in June 2020. He earns €3.5 million a year, but this season he is finding little space because he has been replaced in the starting lineup by De Vrij and Skriniar, and therefore is pushing to be sold.

So far he has refused to return to Brazil and to go to the United Arab Emirates, and now he is considering offers coming from China.

With Miranda leaving, Inter could look to replace him with someone like the Danish defender Andersen from Sampdoria. The two clubs, Roma and Inter, find themselves rivals in the market for another player: Gianluca Mancini, but the Atalanta defender will not move in January.

The Giallorossi will try to sign the player in the summer, laying the groundwork in January, as had happened last year with Cristante. The formula would be that of the loan with the right of redemption in 2020, set at around €25 Million.

Miranda wants to leave Inter and despite his age he has many admirers. There have also been some enquiries from West Ham in England but Roma remains in the race only if Inter are willing to let him leave on loan.
