There will be a big focus on free transfers from Inter ahead of the Summer transfer window according to a report from Tuttosport.

Inter are seemingly poised to land Diego Godin on a free and could go back in for Hector Herrera, a name that was heavily linked with the club back in the Summer transfer window.

The Mexican midfielder has decided not to renew his contract with Porto and while he would take up one of Inter’s non-EU spots, it is not something that bothers Inter due to the fact he would undeniably be a starting player.

Inter do however face competition from city rivals Milan and fellow Italian side Roma for the 28-year-old’s signature.

The Turin based newspaper have also looked at a player Inter could get a deal in place for ahead of the Summer. The player in question is Udinese’s Rodrigo de Paul and a meeting between the two clubs is scheduled to take place in the next few weeks.
