With Ivan Marcano currently weighing up offers that have arrived, Roma have made a shortlist of potential replacements for the Spaniard according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Giallorossi are keen on Galatasaray’s Ozan Kabak and have also shown an interest in Jonathan Maidana from River Plate but one player they are not interested in is Inter’s Miranda despite other reports suggesting otherwise.
The veteran Inter defender is understood to be unhappy with his current playing situation at the club and has requested to be allowed to leave in this window. As a result of the strong partnership between Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij, the 34-year-old’s game time has taken a hit compared to recent seasons and he has been limited to just 10 appearances across all competitions this season.
The Milan based newspapers report goes on to state that Roma sporting director Monchi has two main objectives for Roma’s defence in Atalanta’s Gianluca Mancini and Juventus’ Daniele Rugani.
