Matteo Darmian is not the only fullback that Inter are interested in even though Darmian’s contract expires in June 2019 and there is doubt as to whether or not he will renew his current deal at Manchester United.

Whether Darmian decides to renew or not, Inter are keeping tabs on him as well as Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri according to La Repubblica.

The former Roma fullback is highly regarded by Luciano Spalletti as a great player, but for budgetary reasons, Inter are only able to ask for a loan.

The deal could be complicated as Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri considers Emerson Palmieri the first alternative to Marcos Alonso.

Inter are still unsure of what to make of their fullback situation, with Asamoah appearing to regress as time goes on, Vrsaljko constantly finding himself on the sidelines due to injury, Dalbert barely getting any game time, and D’Ambrosio showing that he is nothing more than a solid rotation player.
