The loan transfer of Inter’s Brazilian attacker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa to Flamengo will soon be made official as Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte reveal more details regarding the deal.

According to the report, Gabigol will join Flamengo on loan until the end of the calendar year of 2019. He will arrive in Rio de Janeiro Wednesday to undergo the mandatory medical examinations, before putting pen to paper on a deal that will see him tied to Flamengo until the end of December of this year.

In exchange for this, the Nerazzurri get to choose one young Flamengo player that they will have a first option over. In simple terms this means that should Flamengo receive an offer for the player in question, Inter will be given the opportunity to match the bid for that player and in that case Inter’s bid will be the prevailing offer.

Gabigol recently extended his contract with Inter until the end of June 2021 which is reported to have facilitated the deal.
