Roma could look to sign Atalanta’s Gianluca Mancini using the same strategy they used to land Bryan Cristante from the Bergamo club according to a report from Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

With the threat of losing star defender Kostas Manolas in the Summer, Giallorossi sporting director Monchi is not wanting to be unprepared.

The Spaniard will look to agree a deal with Atalanta during this transfer window and leave Mancini at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia for the remainder of the season. The new Italian international would then complete a move to the Italian capital in the Summer transfer window.

Roma are not alone in courting Mancini though and could face competition from Inter for the 22-year-old’s signature. Inter are looking to further strengthen their defence and Mancini’s name has been linked although it would seem as if Joachim Andersen of Sampdoria is Inter’s number one goal at the moment.
