As the Christmas vacation ends, Lautaro Martinez was stopped by reporters from ESPN at the airport on his way back to Milano.

The young Argentinian striker spoke about his time so far at Inter as well as his chances of being called up to the Argentinian national team and  former club in Argentina, Racing.

“The idea is to play more and to find my place in the lineup. Every day we train to improve and to show the coach that we are up to the task. I have not played a lot, but the times I played I think I did well. I’m having fun, people love me, I want to keep doing well.”

In conclusion he spoke about being called up to the Argentinian national team as well as his relationship with former teammates at Racing: “It depends on the manager, I do my best to be called up. I am in touch with my former teammates, I want the best for them.”
