While a deal for Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has been agreed upon between Inter and Flamengo, business between the two clubs is by no means over according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter centre back Miranda’s name had been brought up in negotiations in recent days. Flamengo would like to sign the veteran Brazilian international during this transfer window and Inter are understood to be demanding a decent cash sum for the 34-year-old which they would then reinvest in to a replacement.

Reports in Brazil have suggested Flamengo are prepared to offer Inter €4 million while other reports in Italy have suggested Inter want at least double that to part ways with Miranda.

Miranda aside, Flamengo’s teen sensation Lincoln is another player that business could be done for, particularly in the future. The Milan based newspaper report that in the Gabigol negotiations Inter have obtained a future option of sorts on the Brazilian youth international.
