Empoli’s president, Fabrizio Corsi spoke to Radio Radio about young Empoli midfielder, Hamed Traore. Corsi believes that Traore will soon be a hot commodity in the transfer market, stating that a few clubs have contacted Empoli about the 18-year-old from Ivory Coast, such as Inter and a French team that is accustomed to playing in the Champions League.

“To date, there are 3 or 4 teams that have asked about him. Roma and Napoli are not among the teams interested although Inter are. For now there has only been expressions of interest, there is not even a negotiation. As of last week we were also contacted by a French team, which regularly plays in the Champions League.”

Traore has spent two seasons at senior level with Empoli having graduate from their academy, helping the Tuscan side gain promotion from Serie B last season.  He has played in 17 matches for Empoli this season in all competitions.
