Canovi: “I’m Not Sure If Inter Will Finish Third”

Football agent Dario Canovi has discussed the effects of financial fair play, admitting he feels it benefits some clubs more than others.

“Unfortunately, with these rules that limit investments, only the teams that are already very strong are reinforced. This makes things difficult for those in a difficult position. In Germany and France, it is the same teams that win the league while in Spain there are two teams fighting for the title. The truth is that the financial fair play rules only benefit some clubs and prevent those who want to invest from doing so.”

Canovi then spoke on the race for Champions League football in Italy and does not believe that Inter’s place is assured.

“I am not sure that Inter will finish third. I think there are still two Champions League places at stake. Roma, for me, after Napoli and Juventus from the qualitative point of view, is the most qualified and certainly stronger than both Milan and Lazio. I feel very optimistic about Roma’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League.”
