Wanda Icardi is awaiting confirmation from Inter with regards to when the next meeting over a new contract for her client/husband Mauro Icardi is to take place according to a report from Sport Mediaset.

The recent tension has been cooled by Inter’s chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta who will be on one side of the table alongside sporting director Piero Ausilio. On the other side Wanda will sit and will continue to demand €9 million per season for the Argentine striker.

The Nerazzurri will meanwhile start off with an offer of €6 million per season with bonuses and attempt to remove the €110 million release clause – which is valid only to foreign clubs for the first two weeks of every July – that is in his current contract of the club captain.

Within the next month, an agreement over a new contract until the end of the 2022/23 season could be agreed upon, the report concludes.
