Italian football legend Francesco ‘Ciccio’ Graziani has commented on the situations of Lautaro Martinez and Mauro Icardi at Inter.

“I would try to play Lautaro and Icardi together. Luciano Spalletti has decided to field Martinez only when it comes to needing a result. Icardi has an exceptional scoring record and while he is not nice to watch, he is among the three best strikers in the world,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

“There is little more needed at Inter to allow them to return to being competitive and I can not think about Icardi leaving. If I were an Inter executive, I would be thinking about everything but letting Icardi leave as Inter can make history.”

He concluded the interview by touching upon Diego Simeone, who has not hid his desire to one day manage Inter.

“The impression is that sooner or later he will arrive at Inter. He has a marvellous story and he is also very good.”
