Following the annual Suning shareholders meeting, Suning owner and president Jindong Zhang spoke with Chinese news outlet Kaixian.tv on the work the Chinese group have carried out since taking charge at Inter in 2016.
“In less than two years, Suning managed to achieve what millions of Inter fans had dreamed of for six years which was to see the return of their team in the Champions League. This is the key moment of the rebirth of the Nerazzurri,” he said.
“Under our leadership, Inter is building toward a new period of glory. This explosion is the symbol of the maturity of a progressively improved management team, as their skills have considerably improved.”
He concluded by revealing what Suning’s ultimate goal for Inter is.
“I hope that we can continue working like this and work even harder and go further and further, fulfilling our promise to return to the top of the Champions League.”
